Teresa has been the office manager at amigo since 1997 when Dr. Jensen bought the practice.
Teresa has always loved people and their pets. She has developed many friendships over the last years with our clients making sure all their needs have been met. She feels a bond of trust is very important to our clients since we are caring for their furry children, to insure we love them as much as they do.
Over the years she has collected many pets, including several clinic kitties that would not have made it if not for Dr. Jensen's compassion.
The joy of her life is a little gray and white kitty who only has one eye named Ruby. When she was just 4 weeks old she had upper respiratory infection so bad that her eye swelled to 5x it's normal size. Dr. Jensen removed her eye and she amazingly made a full recovery.
She also has Saffron, a rescue chihuahua a client brought in after witnessing her being hit by a car. One leg was broken and needed extensive care. After nursing her back to health affron made herself a place in the "Jensteen Family"

She has 2 dogs, a cat, a kitten, and usually one or two fosters at home. When shes not working at Amigo she can be found behind a camera doing photography or spending time with family.
Ashley was born in California but raised right here in Phoenix. After a year at U of A pursuing a degree in pre-journalism, she realized she absolutely hated writing, hated the heat and spent a lot of her time trying to be around animals. She figured there had to be a better way. So she traded the sun for snow and moved to northern AZ. Ashley graduated from NAU with her B.S. in Biology and a certificate in Wildlife Ecology and Management. She spent her free time during college giving educational talks all over northern AZ working with the wildlife ambassadors from AZGFD Adobe Mountain Wildlife Center. By far, her favorite ambassadors from AMWC were Delilah, a Striped skunk, Auggie, a Black-tailed prairie dog and Lunar, a cheeky Black-crowned night heron.
After college, she went on to complete two internships in wildlife rehabilitation with Wild Instincts in Rhinelander, WI. She worked with many animals from hummingbirds to bald eagles and deer mice to black bears, even going on a bear rescue her first night in Wisconsin! While she was there she learned a lot about the medical aspect of rehabilitating animals and enjoyed improving the quality of life of the animals that she encountered. She found it incredibly fulfilling to release those animals she had helped back to the wild.
When her internship ended, Ashley decided she might like to be a veterinarian and came to Amigo to learn what it takes to do just that. When Ashley is not working at the clinic, you can find her reading books with her two cats, Kira and Bubba.
